Carly Traynor (they/them) joined the IU School of Social Work in 2021 as a Student Services Coordinator and Recruitment Specialist for the MSW program. Prior to their role with IUSSW, they worked as an academic advisor for undergraduate students at IUPUI. During graduate school, Carly worked in residence life, student conduct, advising, and orientation services.

On campus, Carly is involved in the LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Council and the Jaguar Academic Advising Association (JACADA). They also serve as a Hearing Officer with the Office of Student Conduct.

Outside their work in higher education, Carly volunteers doing harm reduction to reduce instances of drug use related overdoses and HIV/Hepatitis C outbreaks in the community. They are an active member of the Indianapolis Jewish community, and enjoy hiking, reading, and hanging out with their cat, Toast.
