Indiana University School of Social Work Assistant Professor, Dr. Richard Brandon-Friedman, has recently been in the news for his gender-affirming care research. In February, he testified at the Indiana State House against, then proposed, Bill 480, which would ban access to such healthcare to anyone under 18 years old. On April 5, Governor Holcomb signed Bill 480 into law.

As this critical conversation continues statewide and nationally, please find two interviews below with Dr. Brandon-Friedman. In the spring, he spoke to ABC News South Bend about the effects of Bill 480. On May 4, he discussed gender-affirming healthcare on the Scripps News program, “Evening Debrief.”
